What Is Selfpubd?

SelfPubd (short for Self-Published) is a co-op publishing movement for game and app developers by those developers.

The single biggest problem facing developers is that we confuse being in an app store with having a sales process. App stores are a warehouse, a distribution method.

When indie developers go it alone and see the app store as a strategy, they face worse odds than playing the lottery. But bowing to a big publisher buries your brand and pays on average about 21¢ on the dollar. No joke. Aside from dumb luck, the options used to end there.

Selfpubd changes everything. We’re creating a methodology to sell games and apps. With over 200 indie developers already registered, representing a huge initial opt-in fan base of over 1 Million users, the group as a whole is way more powerful than the sum of its parts. Our for-cost membership adds in tools and resources for members, co-marketing, PR and promotion options.

With our recent acquisition of the Thumb Arcade brand, we’re building a unified online and mobile gaming site. Now there’s one well-branded, very memorable destination to drive all of those users to.
